So I have actually been trying figure out a new hobby, since my bestie is in Ohio, and the other one is in Texas finishing school.. and they are about the only friends I have. Wish I had more, but most only judge from the outside. With going to school, and that's it..I get super frickin bored. So here I am.
There are alot of things going on in this world that many people don't pay attention to. Such as money, politics, religion, ect.. Well I'm not going to get on any of those topics today, but if you stay following me, I'm sure you will hear about them sooner or later!! Lol.
What I just want to do today is introduce myself since I am new to the whole thing, and tell you whats going on in my life, so when I mention something you wont be confused or what have you.
First and foremost, I am a Christian..now before it stops you from reading my blog, just hear this..I am not the best one, but I do not believe in hypocrisy. I think if you know the way to live, you should. BUT, I will be the first to admit that I am not the best christian! We all make mistakes, but the difference in me and some others is that I will admit when I have messed up. I am a regular person, just as those who dont follow God, or have any other beliefs. So enough about that. So here is whats going on with me. Please forgive me if I go down some "rabbit trails", as my husband calls them.

My husband and I have been married since Jan of 08. It was horrible. I mean horrible. I have never wanted to murder anyone in my entire life. Lol. Seriously. Not kidding. Everything that could've gone wrong, went wrong. We absolutely hated each other. As you can tell from the picture he dosen't look happy at all! Haha. Amazingly, thank God that through his deployment that he had in 09-10, we both found ourselves. Through two "almost" divorces, we finally realized that we couldn't be stubborn and expect our marriage to work. Funny thing is, we were married 2 1/2 years before we found this out! Ha. Well it didn't help considering I didn't choose the best of friends back then, and nor did he. He had a drinking problem, I had a money spending problem to feel a hole of personal issues that arisen in my past. I mean to tell you, everything that was growing in my heart just kept me from being me. I am generally a nice person, some of the decisions I have made haven't been my best ones, but you know what..who in the world can say they are perfect? That's right, no one. Well, we are doing much better now.
So my husband was in the Army when we got married, sorry if I had already mentioned that before now. He was 22, I was 18. He recently got out in Feb of '11. We went home to our family in Texas, I begged him for us to move elsewhere, but as usual he told me no. Well shame on him, because you are about to hear why.
When we got home, we already had a place to live (thanks to his grandparents), my husband was actually still in the Army because of all the leave he built up when we were in. We got there, and at first everything was ok, other than the fact that we would argue every day about stupid things, and he would drive off mad, and basically we still hated our lives. Our marriage was doomed. It at least seemed that way. Well we ended up going to church one night with his grandparents, and his grandfather knows EVERYONE, If you live/have lived in a small town, you know what I mean. At the church function pawpaw showed Scott (my husband) a man to talk to about a job. We didn't get on unemployment or anything because my husbands pride would've went down the drain, so we were hurting so bad for money. This happen at a good time, because the man gave him a job. About 2 months into this job my husband realized that he didn't like it, he didn't like his life, he didn't like is marriage, everything was crap to him.
On December 31st of 2010, he asked me for a divorce. Devastatingly, I said no. Lol. I went to my moms and cried like beaten child (no punt intended)..My mom told me to go home. Seriously. She did. Those were her exact words. She had told me that if I love him, I shouldn't even be at her house. I should be home, trying to work things out with him. So I went home, he wasn't there. Gosh there were so many things running through my mind. Then I seen him pull in the driveway. I pulled him in the house, and asked him if we could talk. This man was serious, he had not one look of sorrow on his face. He was done with me. For good.
We talked, and talked, I begged. For the first time in my life, I begged a man to stay with me. Little did I know, it didn't work, he still told me he was done. Lol. Not trying to be funny, at all..But I just cant believe that he was so done with me that he literally made me beg. When we were finished talking, he looked at me and told me he loved me. That was such the wrong thing to say. After asking me for a divorce, you're literally going to sit here and tell me you love me!!!!! Are kidding!! Well I told him the same thing back obviously. We had a bon fire to go to at my moms house for New Years Eve, so I asked him to go with me, so no one would start spreading anything. He did. When we were there at the fire, around all of those people on midnight, January 1st 2011, he discreetly pulled me to the side and told me that he would give it until March, and if we didn't change our marriage by then, he was making me leave.
Here we are, on November 4th of 2011. We are still together. We have no children still, that's ok. I love kids, but our lives aren't the best right now for us to have children. We have come to terms with what marriage truly is: Compromise. Love. Cherishing. Holding each other. Lifting each others spirits when needed. Praying when we feel that we have no where else to go, when in all honestly, let's face it..It should be the first place we go. Scott went to school to get his CDL, and the jobs he was getting in Texas wasn't "cutting the mustard"..our money was toast. We live in a new location now, not Texas. Lol. No offense to any of the family that reads this, but we need to be on our own. We never relied on anyone but each other, and that's what we will always need. Don't get me wrong, we love our family. But sometimes family isn't the best people to be around. Lol. That's why I said shame on him for not letting us move elsewhere when we first left our duty station! I knew going home to live would cause NOTHING but turmoil between us. He is hardheaded, but I am too! :)
Scott is an amazing man. He has changed so much, just as I have. We don't go to church regularly, we should, but we don't. We love where we are, he still hates his job because he spends maybe 3 hours with me a day..good money but not worth it..Which leads me to the next thing, my husband went to the Army recruiting station, they told him that he had gained 50lbs since leaving the Military in Nov of 2010. WOW. I know right. They told him to lose 30-35lbs, and he should be fine. Well, lets just say that 2 months later, my sweetheart was 32lbs lighter. Lol.
We miss the lifestyle, way we got to spend time together. The way he had a "set" schedule. The way the friendships were mostly bonding because we were all going through the same ordeal. We miss the way we got live. Civilian life isn't for us. Don't get me wrong, I love school, I love everything that we have so far. But, money isn't everything. I miss how everyday with him, I felt so lucky to be in the arms of a U.S. Soldier. That was my dreams as a little girl.
Well now everything is changing again, which is why I titled my blog "New Experiences"...I have ALOT of them. Lol.
Starting to wrap it up..
My husband comes home tonight from working in a different state for a week. He will get taped tomorrow or well Monday I suppose. When that happens, I will keep you updated on what happens with that. We actually get to go visit our family in Texas for 2 days. Which is actually awesome cause it's just long enough to visit both sides of the family, and not be included in drama!!! Lol.
My life is pretty interesting at times, but at other times boring. This will be the start of a new journey, and you are welcome to follow along!! Thanks for reading! :)
